Japan reopen to tour groups from June 10th 2022
Foreign tourists will be allowed to enter Japan on package tours from June 10, which has been suspended for more than two years since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Travelers from the lowest-risk “blue” group will be exempt from testing upon arrival in Japan and quarantining at home. International flights will be expanded to cover Sapporo New Chitose Airport and Okinawa Naha Airport.
In addition, border restrictions set to ease from June 1 include raising the daily cap of new arrivals to 20,000, which is double the current number of 10,000 people per day.
